According to The Drive, North Korea owes NYC over 150,000 dollars from over 1,300 parking tickets going back as far as the 1990’s! They claim this number is too high, based on a 2002 agreement between the US State Department and the city of New York, but most of the parking tickets were actually given before 2002 anyway. And while there are clearly bigger issues between the USA and North Korea, I’m sure we can all agree that they should pay the city for their wanton disregard for parking signs.
