According to The Observer, this plan would go into effect in January, if De Blasio wins another term. This plan involves more aggressive policing of drivers who block the box, parking in loading zones and a variety of other parking or driving infractions that the administration says contribute to congestion. A major part of the plan is also to dramatically increase the number of Traffic Enforcement Agents in the city, especially during rush hours.
