Sometimes people come to me with tickets for expired registration and say “Look David, I got the registration renewed the same day I got the ticket! Doesn’t that invalidate it?”
Unfortunately, my answer is no. Even if you got the registration renewed later that day, your registration was expired when the ticket was given, so the ticket is valid. If you are in the process of getting or renewing registration for a vehicle, you can always get a temporary registration sticker in the meantime. Also I’ll be going over the proper way to display your registration so you don’t get a ticket in an upcoming blog post.
