Today I’m going to show you the 10 most common tickets given in the 7th Precinct between July of 2016 and July of 2017. This Precinct is made up primarily of the Lower East Side and the Williamsburg Bridge.

  1. Muni Meter (37) Parking in excess of the allowed time. 12288 tickets issued.
  2. Street Cleaning: No parking where parking is not allowed by sign, street marking or traffic control device. 11040 tickets issued
  3. General No Standing: Standing or parking where standing is not allowed by sign, street marking or; traffic control device. 9287 tickets issued
  4. General No Parking: No parking where parking is not allowed by sign, street marking or traffic control device. 8628 tickets issued
  5. Muni Meter (38) Failing to show a receipt or tag in the windshield. 7544 tickets issued
  6. Standing or parking on the roadway side of a vehicle stopped, standing or parked at the curb; in other words also known as “double parking”. 5638 tickets issued
  7. Stopping, standing or parking within a marked bicycle lane. 3361 tickets issued
  8. Bus Stop: Standing or parking where standing is not allowed by sign, street marking or; traffic control device. 3084 tickets issued
  9. Standing or parking a vehicle without showing a current inspection sticker. 3048 tickets issued
  10. Truck Loading/Unloading: Standing or parking where standing is not allowed by sign, street marking or; traffic control device. 2770 tickets issued
